I'm a film editor and filmmaker based in Chicago. I like to create invisible cuts, transitions that flow so naturally the audience focuses only on the story and its rhythm. I use Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve, but in the end, I edit with rhythm, contrast, and curiosity.
On set I collect what the story needs. Notes, temps, continuity. And in the edit I reduce noise until the emotion reads clearly. I'm comfortable moving between narrative shorts, documentaries, and branded pieces. Because I also work in marketing, I think about audience and clarity early: who is watching, what they should feel, and when.
I'm not afraid to say "I don't know yet," but I am quick to test and show a version. I value direct feedback, clean timelines, and color that serves the scene. Recent work includes assistant editing and DIT tasks, parallel-montage edits, and look-development in Resolve.
I work in both English and Korean. If you need an editor who can manage the pipeline from ingest to delivery and communicate with clarity, I could be a good fit. With a dual background in marketing and film, I bring value to the table by choosing facts and details over exaggeration and making the most effective choices within real-world limits.
